If a referral is assessed as being inappropriate or outside the criteria of available resources, Healing Practice will aim to signpost to alternative services or practitioners within the local area. Referral enquiries can be made by e-mail via the website contact us page. For more information please get in touch.
Each person has to decide if having therapy is the right option for them. For me, finding psychotherapy was a light bulb moment of awareness. Not only did it help me understand my own internal feelings, thoughts and behaviours – but it also helped me understand how I relate with others, especially when things go ‘wrong’. The aim of therapy usually involves helping clients to make changes, reach their goals and heal psychological wounds.
The initial assessment will be an hour and a half consultation costing £50. Thereafter, clients are asked to make a £40 contribution towards the cost of a therapy session. However therapy charges will be based on a sliding scale depending on the client means.
You can discuss your individual needs and ability to pay at your first session.
The number of therapy sessions needed depends on the nature of the issue. I offer both brief therapy (between 6-12 sessions) and I do longer-term work. Options such as individual therapy, group therapy and peer support groups are explored here also.
